James William Coleman Jr., 58, of Jackson died Dec. 11, 2004 at his residence.
He was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi as well as Mississippi State. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War. He was employed as a contract electrical engineer in nuclear power plants around the world.
Survivors include his wife, Vera A. Coleman, Jackson; one son, Samuel James Coleman, Jackson; one step-son, Max Yukovlev, Moscow, Russia; one daughter, Amanda Kaufman, Clementon, N.J.; one brother, Larry Coleman, Thompson, Ga.; parents, James W. Coleman Sr., Johnnie Mae Coleman, Moss Point, Miss..
The service was held Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial was in the Hopewell Cemetery in Walker Springs.
