Joseph Kibble Terry Jr. was born on March 10, 1947 in Jackson Tn. He attended Jackson City Public Schools and later served in the U.S. Navy for four years on the aircraft carriers Constellation and Roosevelt. He served in the Vietnam War for one year as a member of a Sea Wolves squadron patrolling the Mekong River. After leaving the Navy he lived in New Orleans La. for many years, but died by accidental drowning in Jackson Tn. on May 7, 1982. He is buried in Hollywood Cemetery, Jackson Tn.
