ATTACK FATAL TO MRS. NOAH STEFFEN
Mrs. Aldula V. Steffen, 55, of 603 South Main St., widow of Noah Steffen, was found dead at 7 a.m. today by her son-in-law, Leonard Bertsch of Bluffton. Her sudden death, believed due to a heart attack, occurred about 6:30 this morning as she was preparing to go to work. A native of Adams County, Mrs. Steffen was born March 31, 1909, the daughter of Joel and Saloma Baumgartner Schwartz. Her marriage to Mr. Steffen, who died in 1948, took place Feb. 25, 1928 in Bluffton.
Mrs. Steffen, employed at the Franklin Electric Co. for 10 years, was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church and had resided in Wells County most of her life. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Leonrad (Wava) Bertsch of Bluffton and Mrs. Ben (Carolyn) Manz of Paulding, O., Route 1; a son, Lester W., serving with the Army in Germany, and four grandchildren.
Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Sam (Katie) Maller of Bluffton, Mrs. Ronald (Mary) Ryf of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Edward (Sadie) Gerber of Berne Route 1 and Mrs. Walter (Gladys) Fiechter of Craigville Route 1, and two brothers, Louis Schwartz of Downey, Calif., and Ray Schwartz of Van Wert, O.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday at the Goodwin Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the Apostolic Christian Church at 10 a.m. Monday afor services, tentatively set for 11 a.m. Rev. Samuel Aeschliman will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
