Pearl Rosenbaum Bruce, 93, of Provo, Utah died Sunday, July 15, 1990, at the home of her daughter, following a short illness.

She was born Aug. 8, 1896, in Ovid, Idaho, a daughter of Morris and Evelyn Van Noy Rosenbaum.

She married Saxon Berners Bruce, July 31, 1913, in La Grande, Oregon.

Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.

He died on Feb. 1, 1970.

She lived in La Grande, Oregon most of her life and has spent the past 7 years in Provo, Utah with her daughter.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and had served in various positions, including Primary president, Relief Society visiting teacher, and Sunday School teacher.

She also served two stake missions.

She is survived by one son and two daughters, Mrs. Ed (Evelyn) Blaser, The Dalles, Ore.; Morris Bruce, Cheyenne, Wyo.; Mrs. Don (Vonnie) Shelley, Provo; 12 granchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Saxon James Bruce.

Graveside services will be Thursday, 10 a.m. in the La Grande, Oregon, Cemetery, under the direction of the Walker Mortuary of Provo, Utah.
