Clarence Richard "Andy" Anderson was born 31 Jan 1943 in Denver, Colorado to Clarence Bernard Augusta and Margery Vivian Greer Anderson.

He died 1 Oct 1975 in Oakland, MD due to complications of Hodgkins Disease Stage IV. He fought a long 12 year battle with his disease.

His parents moved to Great Falls, MT when he was a youth. He was also awarded the God and Country Award while in the Boy Scouts in Great Falls, Mt. He joined the US Air Force in September 1960. After Basic Training in Texas, he was assigned to the 2869th GEEIA Squadron at Norton AFB, San Bernardino, CA. and while there he was selected to attend OCS, but he became ill before he could begin his training. He had planned to make the Air Force his lifetime career.

While stationed at Norton AFB he met Carol Ann Wolfe and they were married on 7 Oct 1961, in Rialto, CA at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, John and Joyce Nightengale Wolfe.

After he became ill, he was retired out of the Air Force on a medical in 1964 and returned home to Great Falls, MT. where he worked at Malmstrom AFB for several years. When his illness became worse, he moved his family back to Lake Ford near Oakland, MD in 1970 to be near his wife's family.

Andy and Carol had four children, Richard Wayne, David Randall and Shari Alene all born at Norton AFB, San Bernardino, CA and Christopher Robert born at Malmstrom AFB, Great Falls, MT.

Andy was survived by his wife Carol and sons, Richard, David and Christopher all of Lake Ford, near Oakland, MD. He was also survived by a sister, Bertha Louise Anderson Hollingsworth and her husband Columbus Franklin, of Horseshoe, NC, his brother-in-law Rulon Claire Anderson and 10 nieces and 4 nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, a daughter, Shari Alene Anderson and two sisters, Nancy Pearl Anderson, and Marion Alene Anderson (Rulon Clair) Anderson and a niece, Frankie June Hollngsworth.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Terra Alta, WV, Sportsman Club of Deer Park, MD American Legion, Oakland, MD and Club Chinook, Great Falls, MD. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed teaching his children how to correctly handle a weapon. When he was strong enough, he enjoyed doing things with his sons and nephews.
