Alice Jane Wiesenberg Derricott, 98, of Brookings, Oregon, died on February 27, 2009 of age related causes.


She was born May 10, 1910 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Carl Ernest and Frieda Clara Lohan Wiesenberg.


She married Asael "Ace" Ray Derricott on September 12, 1936 in the Salt Lake Temple. She lived in Sandy, Utah from 1947 to 1995 and then moved with her son, Don, and his family to Brookings, Oregon. She held many positions in the several wards in which she lived. She loved cooking, flowers, and speaking German. She had an exceptional sense of humor and loved children.


She is survived by her sons Don R. Derricott and his wife Carolyn of Brookings, Oregon; Keith J. Derricott of Sandy, Utah; brother Cliff Wiesenberg and his wife Irene of Salt Lake City, Utah; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ace Derricott on February 18, 1988; brothers Lewis Mathis, Carl George Wiesenberg, and Ralph Roy Wiesenberg; and sister Frieda Parker.


A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., with a Funeral Service and Burial to follow at 2 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy.
