She was a long time member of the Alton Freewill Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary.
Jo Ella is survived by her husband, James, of the home; five children, Janet Rackley of West Plains, MO; Patti Collins and husband Ted of Alton, MO; Mike Rackley and wife Angie of Alton, MO; Mark Rackley and wife Kristie of Alton, MO; and Nancy Rackley Pinckney and husband Kevin of Springfield, MO; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Clarence and Berlie (Hall) Dodson; four brothers, Carl, Junior, James and Densel.
Services were held June 29 at the Alton Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Trantham officiating. Burial followed in the Hickory Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, MO.
