He was born March 28, 1951, to Beatrice Wilson Lamb and the late Thomas Henry Lamb, Jr.
Tommy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother who avidly treasured life, family, farming, fishing and hunting. He graduated from Southern Wayne High and Appalachian State University, where he played football. Lamb was an owner and Vice-President of LIFE, Inc. and retired from the NC Division of Motor Vehicles in Forsyth County. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Asbury Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Connie Lamb; a daughter, Lee Lamb of Goldsboro; a son and fiance, Glenn Lamb and Cynthia Marvin of Raleigh; two grandchildren, McKenzie and Ashton Lamb of Raleigh; his mother, Beatrice Lamb of Goldsboro; a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Rhett Raynor of Dunn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors at Howell Funeral Home in Goldsboro on Thursday, Feb. 19 from 7 - 8:30 p.m.
The Funeral will be held Saturday, Feb. 21, at Asbury Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Rickey Rogers officiating. Mr. Lamb will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the service begins. The family will receive friends at the home of Glenn Sheppard following the burial.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the organization of your choice.
