Mr. Ames served in Company E, First Regiment, Delaware Volunteers, during the war and was a member of the Smith Post, G. A. R. Although he had retired from shop work at the Harlan plant for some years previous to his death, he was active up to the last. He is survived by one daughter, Lillian, who lived with him, and one son, Howard, who resides at Altoona, Pa.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Jefferson street residence. Interment will be at Silverbrook Cemetery.
