Colchester-Bob Mazza Sr.,died on saturday,Feb.28,2009,after a short illness in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.He was born in Burlington on Aug.16,1935,the son of the late Joseph Sr.and Mary ( Perino-Trono )Mazza.Bob attended Winooski schools and later served in the Army National Guard.He was a self employed contractor and former owner of Robert E. Mazza General Contractor in Colchester.Bob will be remembered as a true craftsman and professional in the trade.He was a proud member of Hunter,Anglers and Trappers Association of Vermont.Of his many things that he enjoyed in his life he especially loved ice fishing,his Farmall tractors and many traditions in Belvidere,Vt.Bob will be deeply missed by all who attended the annual first Saturday night supper he hosted at deer camp.Bob leaves his two children,Robby Mazza Jr. and his wife Carla and their two daughters,Lindsi and Lauryn of Colchester,Robin Boyer and husband Bob of Colchester and their children,Justin Boyer and his wife Angie and Jeffrey Boyer.,one great-grand-daughter Athanasia Boyer; three brothers,Frank Mazza and his wife Barbara of Brandon,Vt., John Mazza and his wife Gloria of Milton,Richard and his wife Dolly of Colchester; his former wife Martie Mazza; and several nieces ,nephews.cousins and many close friends.A celebration of Bob's life will be on Tuesday,March 3,2009,from 3 to 6 p.m.,at his son Robby's house,1156 Middle Rd. in Colchester.
