Pete dropped out of high school to enlist in the US Air Force, where he was trained as an electronic technician. He earned his GED onboard ship in the Pacific Ocean while his unit tracked long-range USAF missiles during test flights.

Pete became an engineer after military service, his education culminating with a Master's Degree from the University of Southern California. He was a long time employee of The MITRE Corporation, dying of a heart attack while "on duty" as a Department Manager. Pete is remembered as a talented engineer, with a gift for "seeing the big picture" and smartly inserting technology to solve problems.
