Sid was born to Joanna Catherine Walters Johnson (Find a Grave #19918449; her first name is erroneously listed as Johanna, but all other information is correct) and John Edward Johnson in Gleason, Weakley County, TN. Sid passed away in Okmulgee, OK.

On Dec 23, 1900 Sid married Louisa Harriet Belle "Missy" Ray at Mt. Zion Church in Gleason, Weakley County TN in a ceremony officiated by Elder C. H. Felts. Sid and Missy moved to Holdenville in 1910, following his half sister Mary "Mollie" and husband George Washington Adams. Sid and a partner opened a store and ran it for several years. In 1922 Sid and Missy moved to Okmulgee. He was a car route salesman for Armour & Co. The children of Sid and Missy were: William Harry Johnson, Essie Lois Johnson, Irene Johnson, and Catherine Johnson (she has a Find a Grave memorial in the Holdenville Cemetery).
