Funeral services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Emma Helen Cartwright, 88, who died Friday at the family home at 1415 Mill Street. The page Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in West Selma Cemetery. Mrs. Cartwright was born in Bandera County, Texas on August 11, 1873. She came to Selma in 1918 from Vanderpool, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church here. Survivors include tree sons, Walter W. Cartwright, Curtis N. Cartwright of Sacramento and Millard Cartwright of Santa Maria; three daughters, Mrs. Aliff Ivy of Selma, Mrs. Lola White of Fresno and Mrs. Beatrice Schwimley of Van Nuys; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Arnold of Glendale and Mrs. Minnie Kenoyer of Selma; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and five great-great grand children.
