Mr. Adams was born Jan. 29, 1932, in Chicago to Lonnie and Roberta Adams.
He and his family lived in Klamath Falls from 1963 and 1985. He was an upholsterer and worked 10 years at Carlson's Furniture until his retirement in 2000. He also served in the Army for 10 years.
He and his wife Shelbia moved from Klamath Falls to St. Helens in 1985.
Mr. Adams loved camping, fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Shelbia Adams of St. Helens; sons and daughters-in-law Allyn and Shelly Adams of St. Helens and Steven and Tammy Adams of Scappoose; grandsons Tanner Adams of Chico, Calif., and Jonathan Adams of Scappoose; granddaughter Megan Beebe of Scappoose; brothers Kenneth Adams of Vallejo, Calif., and Keith Adams of North Charleston, S.C.; sisters Shirley Mitchell of Phoenix, Ore., Dorla Jacquelyn Black of Lacey, Wash., and Ruth Ann Covey of Spearfish, S.D.; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son David, who died in a car accident in 1979.
