Milo was married twice, 1st to Arabel Belden, four children, Angertta Jones-Britton, Charles Jones, Fernando Francisco Jones, and Clarra Jones. After her death, 2nd to Minerva Hiatt, 4 children, Otto E., Nellie Mae, Dewitt Clinton, and William Eugene Jones.

Civil War record: Enlisted as a private on February 16, 1864 into Company C, 36th Infantry Regiment Wisconsin volunteers. Was transferred on May 1, 1865 to Company S, promoted to Full Principal Musician (NCO) on May 1, 1865, (was in the Drum Corps). Mustered out on July 12, 1865 in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
