SELMA-funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in the Robinson Chapel for Archie A. Bandy, 78, of 2203 Nebraska Ave., who died unexpectedly Saturday. Burial will follow in the Floral Memorial Park. A native of Mason, Tex., Bandy came to California from Arizona in 1925 and settled in the Imperial Valley. He moved to Selma in 1932 and farmed here until retiring in 1955. He was foreman for the Bob Brose Ranch. A Veteran of World War I with service in France, he was a member of the Selma Post 3171, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are his widow, Emma; five daughters, Mrs. Pearl Francis of San Jose, Mrs. Evelyn Sparkman of Broken Arrow, Okla., Mrs. Evangel Steele of Napa, Mrs. Barbara Fishel of Fresno. Mrs. Virginia Jones of Exeter; five sons, Lester bandy of Selma, Earl Bandy of San Pablo, Virgil and David Bandy of San Jose and Donald Bandy of Fresno; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Tarver of Selma and Mrs. Emma Williamson of Ada, Okla.; two brothers, Tom Bandy of Sanger and Ira Bandy of Fort Bragg; 26 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
