Florrie was youngest daughter of the late Tom Redding and Lucy Livingston. She grew up on a farm near Pavo in rural Thomas County, GA. Graduated from Pavo School about 1931. Married 28 October 1933 at her parents home to RD Gandy son of Jessie Gandy and Luna Willis. About 1940 Florrie, RD and young son James Lamar moved to Jacksonville, FL where they lived about 15 years then moved to Statesboro, GA. After RD's death Florrie lived with her son's family the rest of her days. She enjoyed cooking. In the early 1960's she ran a restaurant near Quitman, GA. She spent the last 25 years of her life in Brunswick, GA where she passed at the age of 82. Survivors include a son and daughter in law along with four grandsons. Several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were provided by Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home of Brunswick. Her body was transported to Thomasville, GA where she was laid to rest beside her husband at Laurel Hill Cemetery. May she eternally rest in peace.
