OBITUARY Mary Margret Neher was born in Clinton County, Indiana April 22, 1855, and departed this life December 17, 1912 at 8 o'clock p m, at her home in this city at the age of 57 years, 7months and 25 years. At the age of seventeen years, she united with the Brethren Church, and remained a faithful member until called to her reward. She was united in marriage to David D. Shively March 24, 1874 at La Place, Ill, and about three years after their marriage, they moved to Kansas and made their home in this vicinity. To this union seven children were born, all. of whom survive except Mrs Nannie White who passed away August 19, 1911. Her husband, David D. Shively departed this life August 16, 1908. The children who remain to mourn the loss of their mother are Mrs Martha McNulty of near Mineral, Kansas; Mrs Rhoda Williams of Dewey, Okla; Mrs. Dena Gastineau of LaFountain, Kansas; Mrs lva Piper of Los Angeles, Calif; Wm and Lloyd Shively of this city. Besides she leaves twelve grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters, and a host of. friends. The brothers are Jno Neher of Hudson, III; Josiah Neher of Nampa, Idaho; Annanias Neher of Gutherie, Okla. and Dave Neher of northeast of McCune. The sisters are Mrs Susan Wolfe of Nampa, Idaho and Mrs Amanda Dumbauld of this city. The funeral services were conducted from the Chrsitian church in this city Thursday afternoon at two o'clock by Rev Leaman of Monmouth and the remains were laid to rest in the McCune cemetery. The funeral was largely attended by sorrowing friends and relatives, and the floral offering was profuse.
