Esther M. Richardson
(April 4, 1920 - October 15, 2011)
Esther Richardson, 91 arrived for her "homecoming" in Glory on Saturday, October 15 from her earthly home in Columbia. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 22 at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 101 N. Grace Lane in Columbia. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will be in Hickman Cemetery in Clarksburg, MO. Esther was born in Woodford County, IL on a snowy Easter on April 4, 1920, the fifth of six children. She graduated from Carlock High School in 1938. She married J. Harry Richardson on June 9, 1942. Esther spent most of her adult years in St. Louis where she worked for General American Life Insurance and then retired from Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance in 1985. She moved to Columbia in 1990. She is survived by two daughters, Dee Michael of Hannibal, son-in-law, Ted Michael, Ellyn Richardson of Columbia, four granddaughters, nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Garry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coyote Hill Christian Children's Home, P.O. Box 1.
