Enlisted in Co. B, 18 GA Inf. CSA on 2 Dec 1862.Was shot in both legs in Knoxville,Tennessee on 29 Nov 1863.He stated he was sent to Fort Delaware after he was taken prisoner and confined to bed until after close of the war.He was exchanged as a prisoner of war in Sep 1864.

Born to John M. Treadwell Jr. and Eveline Carroll Treadwell,who were married in Henry County, Georgia on 27 Apr 1825.

Married to Nancy Simms,daughter of Leonard Simms..who remarried to Ann McCoy in Henry County,Georgia on 4 Dec 1851.

I am uncertain of his death,BUT he was still alive in 26 Sep 1906 when he put his signature and info on a Indigent Pension.
There was a Power of Attorney dated 8 Jan 1907 that he signed stating he was approved for his Disability Benefits.

He was alive in the 1910 census in Rockdale County, Georgia in the residence of Frank N. Sawyer,his son-in-law,dated 19 Apr 1910 listed as married but his wife was not in the census report.
