James Homer Ramage (7 July 1929-14 April 2006), son of Limogus Mojav/Mogue Ramage (22 March 1874-5 December 1940) and Ada Pearl Raines (25 July 1888-30 April 1957), married Virginia Ann Reece on 9 August 1964 in Monroe County, Mississippi, and lived in Columbus, Mississippi.

James Homer Ramage, 76, died Friday, April 14, 2006, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus. He was born July 7, 1929, in Itawamba County to the late L.M. and Pearl Raines Ramage. He had lived in Columbus for the past 60 years. He retired in 1991 as a commercial printer for BESCO after 31 years. He was pastor of Deerbrook Baptist Church in Noxubee County for several years. He was a member of Immanual Baptist Church in Columbus, J.A. Mayfield Lodge No. 165 F&AM in Amory, the Hamasa Shrine Temple, and the Scottish and York Rite bodies.

Services were Monday, April 17, at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel in Columbus with Bro. Roy McKay officiating. Burial was in Amory Masonic Cemetery with full Masonic rites.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Reece Ramage of Columbus; one son, Lt. Col. Anthony R. Ramage (Paulette) of Manassas, Va.; two grandchildren, Gabriel Ramage and Michael Ramage of Manassas, Va.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
