A. J. Manley (Manly) an old settler of Ford and Meade Counties died February 12,1911 and was buried at Wilburn Cemetery on February 14,1911. For many years Mr. Manley had lived near Wilburn in Ford County but about four years ago he moved to Meade County where he has since resided. Mr. Manley was one of the boys who wore blue during the civil war. He leaves a wife, one son and two daughters to mourn the loss of a kind and loving husband and father. Their many friends sympathize with them in their bereavement.

The Mt Hope school was dismissed last Tuesday to let the teacher and pupils attend the funeral of A. J. Manley.
