She was born to the late Allen Arnold and Edna Bain Arnold and died at the Chester County Nursing Home where she had been a resident for the past month.
She grew up in that county and attended school in Chester and Madison counties. She was an active lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Rogers moved with her family to Albany, Ohio in 1950 and resided in Ohio until 1995, when she moved back to Jackson.
She is survived by her daughter, Elna Swofford and husband Spencer of Oakton, VA; her son, Norman Rogers and wife Cindy of Bon Aqua, TN; three granddaughters, Jackie Gadoua-Jan of Reston, VA, Shelley Goldsworthy of Ashburn, VA and Stephanie Ollech of Brentwood, TN and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Allen A. Arnold, Jr. of Beech Bluff and three sisters, Adelle Cooper of Beech Bluff, Inez Palmer of Huntingdon and Leandra Martin of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by brothers, T. J. Arnold and Neil Arnold and sisters, Gladys Spencer, Moselle Jones and Louise Wilhite.
