Age 93, of Greensboro North Carolina, died Friday in Asheboro NC; born in Malvern AR to the late Henry Newton Canaday Sr and Martha Adkins Canaday at their home on Pine Bluff Street; graduated from Hot Springs HS in 1936; PhD in Education in 1962; taught home economics at Malvern HS 1941-1944; Professor Emeritus at University of North Carolina at Greensboro, after retirement in 1984.
Preceded in death by parents, twin brother Henry Newton Canaday Jr, and sister Elizabeth Canaday Green.
Survivors include nephew Henry Thomas Canaday, adopted family and caregivers.
