DEATH CLAIMS MRS. HARVEY
Aged Woman Was a Long Time Resident of Columbus - Funeral This Afternoon.

Mrs. W. T. Harvey, 70 years old, died yesterday evening at 6:30 o'clock at the family residence at 1247 Fifth avenue, following a lingering illness of several months. The funeral services will be conducted from the residence this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock by Rev. O.R. Chester, pastor of the St. Luke Methodist church, assisted by Dr. A.M. Williams, presiding elder for the Columbus Methodist district. Interment will be in Linwood and J.A. Walton, George O. Berry, Sr., L.M. Lynch, G.H. Allen, John S. Jenkins and E.F. Roberts will be active pallbearers.
Mrs. Harvey is survived by her husband, W.T. Harvey, with whom she would have celebrated their fiftieth marriage anniversary on March 4 next, had she lived to that time. One son, W.H. Harvey, and two daughters, Mrs. John L. Slaughter and Mrs. Dr. J.T. Lightner, all of Columbus, also survive, besides a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a brother, J.F. Downes, a resident of Geneva, Ga.
Mrs. Harvey was born and reared in Talbot county Georgia. Together with the family she moved to Columbus about thirty years ago and since that time had made her home in this city where until her recent feebleness she was active in church work and always earnest in her efforts for the uplift of her community. She was a faithful and consistent member of St. Luke church during the entire time of her residence in this city. Besides the immediate family and relatives scores of friends deplore her death.
