Edward Holasek, age 83, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 after a short illness. He was born February 26, 1925 at Megalgel, TX to Raymond F. and Frances Mary (Dvoracek) Holasek. He grew up in Perry and Prague where he helped his dad farm and run a service station. He served in the US Army during WWII. He worked many years at Tinker AFB retiring from the parts inventory department. He had been a resident of Mustang since the early eighties and was very active at Mustang Senior Center. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Martha, one sister Albina, 5 brothers Fred, Jerry, Rudolph, Godfrey, Vernon and two great grandchildren Scottie and Gracie. Survivors include two sons Jimmy Holasek and wife Sharon of Noble, Michael Holasek and wife Juana of Lowell, AR, and one daughter Patty Green and husband Larry of Mustang. Also by nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one brother Ernest Holasek of Midwest City. Services will be held at 10am on Saturday, February 28, 2009 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service with interment following in Mustang Cemetery, Mustang, Oklahoma.
