Mrs. Lyda Ann Beard, widow of David E. Beard, died at 9:30 Tuesday
morning at the family residence, 938 South Colfax street. She was fifty seven years old. Her death was caused by an abcess of the brain. She was born at Toronto, Canada, Nov. 22, 1858. She is survived hy one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Hoendorf, of Decatur.
The funeral will he held at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the residence. The burial will be in Boiling Springs cemetery.
