Services for former Waterloo Street Commissioner Carl Fagerlind, 73, of 1049 W. Parker Street, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Concordia Lutheran Church.
Friends may call at Parrott and Wood Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Fagerlind died at Allen Memorial Hospital at 7 p.m. Tuesday of a heart aliment.
He was born October 4, 1903 in Downsville, Wisconsin, son of Charles and Matilda Brostrom Fagerlind. He married Edith Schake July 31, 1925 in Nashua.
He was employed by the city for 36 years and retired as Street Commissioner in 1972. He was past president of Iowa Public Works Association, past president of the Municipal Credit Union and was given the Samuel Greeley Award for outstanding service in the area of public works.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Dean of Denver; a daughter, Mrs. Darrell Neundorf of Ionia; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a brother, Melvin of 237 Mohawk Street.
