Dan H. Keck, 85, Pettigrew, died August 28 in the Huntsville Memorial Hospital. He was born April 28, 1891, at Pettigrew, the son of Simon R. and Maggie Duncan Keck.
He was a retired farmer, a member of the Christian Union Church, and was preceded in death by his wife, Chloe Haught Keck, in 1963.
Survivors include four sons, Bearl Keck, San Angelo, Texas, Oren Keck, Siloam Springs, Dan Keck, Jr., Sitka, Alaska, Simon Keck, St. Paul; three daughters, Miss Leota Keck, Pettigrew, Mrs. Shirley Turner, Poteau, Okla., Mrs. Wanda Petree, Kansas City, Mo.; one brother, Isaac Keck, Fort Worth, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 31, at 10 a.m. in the Brashears Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Emile Rousseau officiating. Interment was in Cove Cemetery under the direction of Brashears.
