Dona Melecia was born on March 12, 1906 in Pecos, New Mexico to Monico and Maria de Los Angeles Ruiz Garcia and passed away on September 8, 1996 in Pojoaque, New Mexico.
Her siblings were; Nestor, Elviria and Antonio R. Garcia, Demetrio, Genoveva and Mela.
She met and married Victor Trujillo in Pecos in 1927. They moved to Santa Fe where they lived for many years and later moved to Pojoaque to be near their children: Luis, Christobal, Dolores, Alfred (Fred) and Susana (Susie).
I remember Donna Melecia very well. She was our next door neighbor, but most importantly a dear close family friend. She used to sit with us on Saturday nights while my parents went to the dances. She was like a grand mother !
