Carl J. Amble, age 69, Arena, died on Saturday, March 23, 1974, at Mineral Point Care Center. Born in the township of Vermont, he married the former Adeline Peterson. They farmed in the Vermont township and lived in Arena for the past 15 years.
Survivors include his wife, Adeline; eight sons, Roger, John, Kenneth, Gary, and Lester, all of Arena, Charles of Cross Plains, Richard of Barneveld, and Sylvanus of Green Bay; four daughters, Mrs. Richard Broadwell [Christine] of Brookfield, Conn., Mrs. Gerald Ihm [Lorraine] of Barneveld, Mrs. LaVerne Marten [Sharon] of Cross Plains and Marsha at home; two sisters, Mrs. Millard Selland, and Mrs. Clarence Gjertson, both of Stoughton; and 18 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Arena Bible Church in Arena at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 25. The Rev. Jerry Bauman officiated. Burial was in the Arena Cemetery.
