Effie was the daughter of Peter Joseph and Margaret Angeline (Litaker) Cress. She married Walter Franklin Moose Sr. in 1910 and they had three children: Lillian Ruth, Walter Franklin Jr.(twin) and Ralph Alexander(twin).
