MRS. MAGGIE SOMMERVILLE DIES AT LOS ANGELES
FORMER RESIDENT OF EUGENE PASSED BEYOND LAST NIGHT AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS
Mrs. Maggie Sommerville, wife of Mack L. Sommerville, formerly of Eugene, died at Los Angeles, Cal., last night after a week's illness from pneumonia. Her relative here knew nothing of her illness and were greatly shocked when the message stating that she had died came this morning. The remains will be brought to Eugene for burial, arriving probably Friday, although it is not know definitely.
Mrs. Sommerville was born on the Stevens farm a few miles northeast of Eugene on July 20, 1875. She resided on the farm and in Eugene during her girlhood and young womanhood, attending the public schools and the University of Oregon. She was married to Mack L. Sommerville at the family home July 1, 1896. She and her husband continued to reside in Eugene for a number of years, and went to Los Angeles about a year ago, Mr. Sommerville engaging in the wholesale liquor business there.
Mrs. Sommerville leaves besides her husband, her mother, Mrs. Emily Stevens, two brothers, Lenn L. Stevens and Welby Stevens, beside numerous other relatives and a host of friends here.

The funeral of Mrs. M.L. Sommerville was held this forenoon at 11 o'clock at the residence of Mrs. A.O. Stevens on West Eleventh street, with interment in the Masonic cemetery. Rev. J.S. McCallum, pastor of the First Christian church officiating.
