Joseph Kingsbury Collins Dies
Joseph Kingsbury Collins, of near Carter, passed away at a Great Falls hospital on last Thursday morning at 5 a.m., following and illness of only three days. Mr. Collins was taken sick last week with appendicitis and passed away following an operation for a ruptured appendix.
Mr. Collins had been a resident of Chouteau county and the Carter section since 1917, and was well and favorably known by a large number of our readers.
He was born at Wheatland, N. D., on Feb. 1, 1891, and was 50 years old. He spent his early life in North Dakota and was united in marriage to Emma Tanburg at Fargo in 1911, and came to this county in 1917, where he has since resided and engaged in farming.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and one daughter, Margaret, of Carter; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Thomas Flatt, Carter, William Collins, Carter, Mrs. H. Schultz, Fort Benton, Frank Collins, Arthur North Dakota, Mrs. W. Flatt, Amenia, North Dakota, Thomas K. Collins, Fort Benton, Warren Collins, Fargo, North Dakota, and Mrs. Grant Rogers, Blanchester, Ohio, and other relatives and many friends.
The body was brought to Fort Benton and funeral services were held from the Louther chapel on Tuesday afternoon. Interment was made in Carter cemetery.
The relatives have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
