Born in Wilson, Texas, Jan. 26, 1873, he has been a resident of Gila County for 60 years.
Surviving relatives are a brother, Mart Owens, Globe; a sister, Myrtle Castan, Michigan, and a daughter, Mae.
He was a veteran of the Spanish American War. He was a private in Troop B, 1st U.S. VOL. CAVALRY.
