Eugenia was employed by the Caribou school department as a cook for 40 years and in her later years she was employed by the Caribou Recreation Department under SCSP. She attended the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was president of the school lunch program and was a member of the Senior Ladies Bowling League of Caribou. At the age of 30, she became a U.S. citizen Feb. 8, 1950. Eugenia was married to her late husband, Gilbert, for 38 years.
She is survived by two sons, Lloyd Ouellette and Gary Ouellette and his wife, Donna, all of Plymouth, Mass.; three grandsons, Paul Ouellette of Wareham, Mass., Kevin Ouellette and Gary Ouellette, both of Plymouth, Mass.; one great-great-grandson, Noah McDonald; and three great-granddaughters, Sherri Ouellette McDonald, Caitlin Mae and Olivia Ann Ouellette. Eugenia was the loving grandmother of the late Katherine, Craig and Jonathan Ouellette.
Friends may call at the 7-9 p.m. Friday, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Spring interment will take place in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery.
