son of ARTHUR A. BELL and ANN MARIE DAWSON

Frederick John Bell, a silversmith at R. Wallace and Sons for the past three years, died suddenly of a heart attack this morning at his home, 29 Plumb Avenue. Born in Birmingham, England, Mr. Bell came here from Canada 25 years ago and for many years, was employed as a silversmith at Factory E International Silver Company. A veteran of service in the Canadian Army, he was a member of Meriden Post 45 American Legion and of the Canadian Legion Post in Waterbury. Mr. Bell attended Center Congregational Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maud Bell; 4 sons, George E., Arthur A., and Robert Bell, all of Meriden; and Fred C. Bell, of Wallingford; 11 grandchildren; four brothers, Arthur A., Frank, Ernest and Clifford Bell; three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Morris, Mrs. Katherine Summers, and Mrs. Nellie Round, all of England, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Flatow Home, 48 Cook Avenue. The Rev. Ray Marcus Miller, minister of Central Congregational Church will officiate and burial will be in Walnut Grove. Friends may call at the Flatow Home from 2 to 10 o'clock Wednesday.
