Johann Kraft born 8 Mar 1879 in Worms, Beresan, Odessa, Russia. now known as (Vinogradnoye, Berezivka, Odessa, Ukraine) He was the first son born to Jacob and Katherine (Wetzel) Kraft. He immigrated to the United States and North Dakota 1912 with is wife, Katharine Almer Kraft and their daughter, Pauline. Then in 1913 his mother, Katherine, two brothers, Jacob with his wife, Anna Marie (Zimbelmann) Kraft and two children (Herman and Ed), and Edward (unmarried) came to the U.S. and went to North Dakota to farm near Johann.
Johann married Katherina Almer 3 Oct 1898, and they had six children. Pauline, Bertha, Lydia, Johann, Emma and John Adolf.
Johann died when he was only 42 years old with the flu--there was an epidemic in the area at the time.
