The Christian Science service was read by Miss Ann Mercer, Mrs. L. M. Brown accompanied by Mrs. Lee McDaniel sang appropriate hymns. Graveside services were conducted by Globe Chapter, No. 27, Order of Eastern Star. Burial was in the Masonic plot of Globe Cemetery.
Born in Hume, Ill., April 4, 1910, she had lived in Globe for 14 years. A student of archaeology, she supervised the excavation of Besh-Ba-Gowah, the Globe prehistoric city ruins. Before her retirement on account of ill health she was an employe of the Gila county selective service board.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Junior Red Cross and also of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Globe, of which she was legislative chairman. She was also first vice-president of the Arizona Federation of Business and Professional Women's clubs.
The regular meeting of the Globe club yesterday was postponed in respect to her memory. She was scheduled to preside at this meeting.
Surviving are her husband, Parke E. Vickrey, Globe school teacher; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Singleton of Bloomdale, Ind.; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Singleton, Indianapolis, Ind.
