(Crawford Co. Kansas newspaper) 25 July 1890, Mrs. Greenfield Dead, “Mrs. Elizabeth Greenfield, wife of Aaron Greenfield, died at her home, Sunday morning, July 20, at the age of forty-two years. Mrs. Greenfield had been a sufferer from a paralytic stroke for several years, and gradually grew worst until her demise. She was a devout christian woman and her death was a sad affliction to the community. She leaves a husband and three children to deeply mourn her removal. Death remembered, she be but a mirror, Who tells us life’s but a breath; to trust it error.”
