Novis Earl Bryant
Novis Earl Bryant, 88, passed away on March 13, 2003, at Heritage Place Nursing Home, Mesquite. He was born in Electra, on June 1, 1914, to the late Arthur and Sally Bryant.
Novis was a member of the Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church, Dallas, and he was actively involved in Gideon's International. He resided in San Angelo, for 35 years, before moving to Glen Rose for six years. He eventually moved to Mesquite, and resided there for the past six years.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Lula Bryant; three daughters, Betty Peterson and husband Joe, of Killeen, Novalynn Bryant of Crandall, and Sally Jones and husband, Ben of Fate; one son, Jerry Bryant and wife, Lori of Austin; one daughter-in-law, Carole Bryant of Austin; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; two brothers, Virgil Bryant of Granbury and Roy Bryant of Lancaster, California.
He is preceded in death by one son, Bobby Bryant of Bastrop; two sisters, Oleta Connell and Gertie Hogan of California; one brother, Bob Bryant of California. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial services were held 2 pm Sunday, March 16, 2003 at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, Plano.
