Mrs. ARON JOHNSON was born in 1857 in Norra Sandsjö parish, Småland, immigrated to America, and came to Andrew Nelson in Brushy, Texas in 1876. She served with this family for a little over two years, then for a short time with the Caldwells. She then married Aron Johnson in 1878. He was from Balaryd parish, Småland, and was born in 1852. In 1870, he came to Texas in Carl Lundgren’s large group of immigrants. Mrs. Johnson’s parents were Johan Hagman and his wife, Maria. His father was a metalworker. Aron Johnson died in Brushy in 1908; Mrs. Johnson takes care of the home. The couple had these children: Anna, Hilda, Ellen, Nora, Carl, Ida, Henning, Selma, Emma, Walter and Agnes. They are members of the Lutheran Congregation in Palm Valley.
