A native of Charlotte County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Hunter and Fannie NEWCOMB Grady and the widow of Andrew "Jack" NEWCOMB. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church and was retired from Creedmoor Sportswear.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by the Rev. Charles Clay. Burial will be in the Creedmoor Cemetery.
Surviving are a daughter, Burnell N. McFalls, of Oxford; a son, Clyde J. NEWCOMB, of Creedmoor; a step-daughter, Laura McCauley, of Chapel Hill; a step-son, Andrew NEWCOMB, of Lexington; a sister, Alma Harris, of Goode, Va.; a brother, Hunter "Buck" Grady, of Creedmoor; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Dorothy N. King, a son, Buddy Lee NEWCOMB, and a step-son, Frank Allen NEWCOMB, preceded her in death.
