Mr. R. Dean Brantley, 62, passed away on October 2, 2008, in Wichita Falls. He was born in Austin, Texas, to the late David and Opal (Goode) Brantley. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, David, Jr. and Jerry (Butch) Brantley; a sister, Anita McGregor; and two nephews, Lonnie Ray and Norman Brantley.

He is survived by his children, Sean Brantley of Laguna, California, Mark Brantley of Las Vegas, Nevada, Michele Brantley of Tenino, Washington, and Timeka Throp of Wichita Falls, Texas; and three grandchildren. Three brothers, Bill Brantley of Wichita Falls, Don Brantley of Burkburnett, and Ray Brantley of Wichita Falls. Three sisters, Peggy Green of Burkburnett, Sherry Link and Beverly Clark of Wichita Falls, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dean was very proud to have served his country as a United States Marine and was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. His pride and joy were his children.

Memorial services will be held at 1013 Borland Lane, Wichita Falls, Texas, from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday evening.

Services under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
