Mary Elizabeth Hall, age 89, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, February 16, 2009 in a local retirement center.

Mrs. Hall was born July 24, 1919 in Gurdon, Arkansas and lived in Texarkana since 1969 moving from Hooks, Texas.

She was retired from COR-Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant and was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Hooks Chapter 1031.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl D. Hall, Jr. and four sisters.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Carl D. "Butch" and Cynthia Hall of Texarkana, Texas; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Betty and Johnny Whisenant of Texarkana, Texas; Mary Mundy of Marshall, Texas; Laurie and William Miller of Ft. Worth, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Thursday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M.

The family will be at the homes of Betty and Johnny Whisenant, 102 Crumpton Drive, Texarkana, Texas, and Butch and Cynthia Hall, 5315 Trexler Rd., Texarkana, Texas.
