Mrs. SUSAN CATHERINE MASTERS, a lifelong resident of Washington County, died at her home on the Middleburg pike early yesterday morning as a result of paralysis. Mrs. Masters was aged 88 years, 8 months, and day. She was born in Hagerstown March 22, 1835.
She is survived by her husband, E.H. Masters, Whittier, Ca.; daughter, Mrs. G. Edward Oaks, with whom she made her home, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Masters, before her marriage to Eli H. Masters, of Williamsport, was Miss Susan C. Alter, daughter of S.H. and Catherine Alter, of Hagerstown.
Services were conducted at her home; interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
