Ogden – On Wednesday, February 18, 2009 our loving mother and grandmother entered the arms of those loved ones who preceded her to Paradise.

She was born February 21, 1914 to Benard Bernard and Lena Luyendyk VanSchaar. She was raised in Wilson Lane, Utah and graduated from Weber High School.

She married Wesley George Donoviel on March 4, 1937. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was very important to her. Esther served in many callings and in various organizations.

Her work ethic has set the standard for her posterity. She learned to work on the family farm and later worked for Scowcrofts, Smith & Edwards and the Ogden City Schools.

She loved her garden, flowers, reading and above all, her family.

She is survived by four children Geraldine (Ernest) Hill, Jeanne (Robert) Udink, Allen (Connie) Donoviel, and Annette (Duane) Minnig. She has 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son Wayne Donoviel; 4 sisters and a brother.

We are forever grateful to you for your sacrifices and love. You leave us a legacy of "Enduring to the End."

A special thanks to Vonnie Manning, a granddaughter, for her compassionate service through these last years.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the North Ogden 3rd Ward Chapel, 386 East Elberta Drive. Friends may call on Tuesday, February 24th at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday prior to the service at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
