She was a former office manager for the Carnation Plant and a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Virginia Thomas Sunday School Class. She was a graduate of Mississippi University for Women. Services were in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. James R. McCormick officiating. Burial was in the Tupelo Memorial Park.
