Sarah Elizabeth Russell was married to Meda Allen Neher October 6, 1899 (according to her obituary; Meda's obituary states that they were married November 6, 1899)

McCune, Sept. 10–Mrs. Sarah Neher, 78, widow of Meda Neher and resident of this area since 1897, died at 11 o'clock tonight at the home of her daughter, Mrs.Glenn Turney, McCune R.R.1. She had been in failing health about a year.
Mrs. Neher was born Sept. 26, 1881. On Oct 6, 1897, she was married. She and her husband resided in this district since that time. Mr. Neher died Dec. 23 1959. Membership was held in the Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are three sons, Henry Neher, Columbus, Eli Nehr (sic) Willow Springs, Mo., and Ruben Neher, Hiawatha, Kas; a daughter, Mrs. Glenn Turney, two brothers, Holland (sic) Russell, Grand Island, Neb., and Elias Russell, Potwin, Kas.; a sister at Grand Island; 14 grand-children; and 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Church of the Brethren. The body is at the Shigley mortuary here.
