Funeral services for Vivian Larsen are Saturday, May 9, 1998 at 12 noon i the Thayne Stake Center.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 8, 7-9 p.m. at Thayne stake Center and on Saturday 10-11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
Vivian succumbed to cancer on Monday May 4.
Vivian Nina Crapo Larsen, 80, of Thayne died Monday, May 4, 1998 in Star Valley Care Center of cancer.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 9, 1998, in the Thayne Wyoming LDS Stake Center. Burial was in the Thayne Cemetery.
Born Sept 7, 1917 in Gleichen, Alberta, Canada to Joseph Kimball Crapo and Orby Ann Harmon, the family moved to Fairview when she was about eight years old. She graduated from Star Valley High School. Vivian married David Maxwell Larsen in the Logan LDS Temple June 18, 1937. They settled on a farm in Thayne, where they lived all their married lives. Max died in 1988.
Vivian had great faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and was active in the LDS Church. She was well known for her quilt making, great patience, very hard work, spirituality, beautiful singing voice and loving care of her family.
She is survived by nine children, Barbara Anderson, Kanosh, UT; Sharon Van Orden, Lavell Larsen, Joel Larsen all of West Valley City; David Larsen, Sandy UT; Maxine Smith, Kearns; Kevan Larsen, Vernal Larsen, Mark Larsen, Thayne; 44 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Draney, Auburn and Thelma Millward, Idaho Falls.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Larry Michael; great grandson; brothers, Asa, Ralph, Willis, Linford, Gerald and Alvin Crapo; sisters Vera Bagley, Grace Barney and Melba Crapo.
